“To My Motherland” At The Newark International Film Festival

My film “To My Motherland” has made it’s way through the United States and Europe, the next stop was the Newark International Film Festival. Of all the festivals I had been invited to, this was the largest. At many venues throughout Newark, NJ, the festival featured international works, focusing on filmmakers of color.

The film festival was sponsored by Panasonic, offering camera demos and swag! The first day had a wonderful red carpet where I experienced the glamour of being a cinema star.

On the final day, there was an awards show where Melvin Van Peebles won the Hannibal Goodwin Film Award. Thanks for the fun Newark!
