Exciting news: I got SXSW Press Credentials! SXSW takes places virtually this year from March 16th to 20th. While I wish the festival was in-person, I'm glad to be spotlighting stories by Latinx, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC filmmakers. Lenfest has announced the second class of The Lenfest Next Generation Fund. The 25 NextGen award winners are Philadelphia-area professional and student journalists of color who will receive grants to attend the national professional development conference of their choice and receive related support from The Lenfest Institute for Journalism. IDA’s editorial fellows will participate in the Documentary magazine planning process and help bring a wider range of voices and perspectives to the publication’s coverage of the documentary field.
