To My Motherland is an experimental personal essay film that blends personal photographs and home videos to explore the complexities of immigration, language, and returning to the motherland.
This film is based on my experiences this summer visiting family in Peru for the first time in over 13 years and touches on feelings of dislocation as the daughter of Peruvian immigrants raised in the US.
